![]() If you just want to fix it and keep it for emergencies, fine, but you can get much less expensive but effective lights nowadays. Scary!įinally, a Mag-Lite is a great durable flashlight, but not anywhere near an up to date illumination tool. Even after replacing all the obvious ones (remote controls, weather stations, cordless mice, etc.) I had one cell starting to go in my Simpson meter when I got to it, also the 9V in one of my Fluke meters was still working fine but was all swollen. now I'm being ecologically correct and also I don't have to worry about my stuff being corroded by leakers. I finally got PO'd and bought a bunch of Eneloops and other NiMHs. I think quality today is worse than historically lately I've had a ton of them leak on me. The way to prevent this in the future is to use NiMH rechargeable cells. If you can get one out and see what brand, call their CS and see what they say. If you used name brand batteries, they may replace the light for you.
